Watch Seth Meyers and Kevin Hart Get ‘Sh*t-Faced’ in New ‘Day Drinking’ Segment

After taking a beat to recover from his last hangover, Seth Meyers returned Tuesday night for another round of “Day Drinking.”

This time around, the Late Night with Seth Meyers host met up with comedian and actor Kevin Hart for a rollicking segment that featured a multitude of drinks, insights into Hart’s Hollywood career, an appearance by Wally the Cue Card Guy, and some hot sauce.

Meyers started off the outing by presenting his new drinking buddy with some “Kevin Hart speciality drinks.” The first cocktail, aptly named for The Secret Life of Pets (in which Hart voices the character Snowball), was a mixture of Double Dog IPA, Black Cat Rum, and Wild Turkey.

Later, the two played a game where Meyers presented Hart, who has over 100 acting credits to his name, with pictures of various celebrities and quizzed him on whether or not he’s ever worked with them. “If you get it right, I’m gonna take a sip of this delicious tequila,” the Late Night host said. “And if you get it wrong, you’ve got to take a sip.”

When Meyers whipped out a picture of Jennifer Aniston, Hart answered that while they hadn’t worked directly together, their paths have crossed. “When I did Jimmy Kimmel‘s Diff’rent Strokes, she did Facts of Life,” Hart explained. “Although we did not share the stage together and have actual dialogue and intellect, we shared a block of television for the network.”

While Meyers called Hart’s response “an incredible answer,” he went on to remind his guest that he and Aniston have in fact shared the screen–in the 2004 film Along Came Polly. “What a long wrong answer,” Meyers joked.

Later, the two engaged in a competitive game of rock, paper, scissors. Hart beat Meyers, resulting in the host having to take a shot—but, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, the actor voluntarily downed one with him. “To Seth Meyers,” Hart said, clinking glasses. “Goddamit, we love you.”

“Day Drinking” has been a popular recurring Late Night segment since 2015, just a year after Meyers began hosting. Past celebrity guests have included Rihanna (currently sitting at 20 million views on YouTube), Kristen Stewart, Dua Lipa, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The segment’s return came amid a big week for Late Night—tonight, Meyers will host a live, one-hour primetime special, Closer Look Primetime. The special, which will focus on the events of last night’s presidential debate, is set to air at 10 p.m. ET on NBC and will stream on Peacock tomorrow.
