Reruns No More: Late Night Is All New This Week—With One Exception

After a week of a mostly deserted late-night landscape, most hosts are back with new episodes this week, save for Seth Meyers.

Late Night with Seth Meyers—which turns 11 years old today—remains dark as part as it continues a scheduled two-week break. Meyers’ show is set to return on Monday, March 3.

Meyers’ lead-in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be back with a fresh week of shows. So will Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Daily Show, and Watch What Happens Live, which were all on break last week.

Saturday Night Live staffers are also reporting back to work today to put together the show’s first regular episode since January 25th. Saturday’s episode will be hosted by Shane Gillis with musical guest Tate McRae. (In advance of that appearance, McRae is booked on The Tonight Show tomorrow.)

In addition to SNL, this coming weekend will also bring new episodes of Real Time with Bill Maher and Last Week Tonight.

The mostly full slate of late-night shows follows a week where CBS was the sole network producing new episodes. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson are airing new episodes this week, as well.

Meyers’ two-week break followed a busy week for the host that saw him producing a full week of Late Night episodes while also serving as a staff writer on the SNL50 anniversary special. Meyers also squeezed in a standup date last night with John Oliver, continuing the pair’s monthly residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.
