London is calling for Jeff Goldblum.
The Oscar-nominated actor will host the Saturday, September 12 series-two premiere of Saturday Night Live UK, alongside musical guest Irish singer-songwriter CMAT.
It’s Goldblum’s third time hosting somewhere in the Saturday Night Live family, and his first in nearly three decades. He fronted NBC’s SNL twice in the 1990s—in October 1993, with musical guest Aerosmith, and in May 1997, alongside En Vogue, in that season’s finale.
He’s stayed close to late night since, though lately more as a musician than a marquee guest. Goldblum has brought his jazz band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and Late Night with Seth Meyers in recent years, and earlier this year played his first UK tour with the group, closing at London’s Royal Albert Hall in June around the release of his album Still Blooming: Night Blooms.
Goldblum follows Tina Fey, who hosted SNL UK‘s series premiere in March. Season one’s later hosts included Nicola Coughlan, Jack Whitehall, Jamie Dornan, Hannah Waddingham, and Ncuti Gatwa.
The premiere opens a 12-episode second series—up from eight—that Sky has split into two halves. The first six run September 12, 19, and 26 and October 10, 17, and 24, with the remaining six slated for early 2027. The show’s entire inaugural cast returns.
That September 26 episode airs the same night NBC’s SNL premieres its 52nd season stateside.
SNL UK airs live Saturdays at 10 p.m. BST (5 p.m. ET) on Sky and streams on NOW, with episodes reaching Peacock in the U.S. the next day.
