Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel and The Daily Show are all taking a mid-winter break this week.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson , which were on break last week, will be keeping the lights on.
Colbert’s week of new episodes begins tonight when the host welcomes fellow Daily Show alum John Oliver — whose own late-night show, Last Week Tonight, returned for its 12th season last night. Other names on Colbert’s guest list this week include George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Al Roker, and Monica Lewinsky.
Meanwhile, Taylor Tomlinson will eek out an extra day of break as After Midnight takes Presidents’ Day off and returns tomorrow.
Jimmy Fallon will take a week-long break after hosting Friday’s SNL50: The Homecoming Concert and taking part in last night’s SNL50: The Anniversary Special. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will return next Monday, February 24.
Also apparently recovering from an SNL50 hangover is Late Night with Seth Meyers, which will be dark for two weeks. Meyers was one of several SNL alumni brought back as staff writers for the special. Late Night returns Monday, March 3.
Speaking of SNL: After producing six hours of fresh content this past weekend, Saturday Night Live is taking just a week off, with the show’s cast and crew set to be back in the office a week from today preparing the show’s March 1 episode.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Daily Show, and Watch What Happens Live are also dark this week. They’ll each return Monday, February 24.
Sorry to learn that Seth Meyers won’t be airing new programs this week because he ” was one of several SNL alumni brought back as staff writers for the specia.” I found much of the SNL 50th boring, especially if you didn’t know the origins of the SNL bits they were imitating.l
We dont need any of them we got Gutfeld. He has the hoghest ratings.
I’m 71 yo, and found about half of the 50th S N L reunion was about half as bad as super bowls half time show. Sometimes they took the skits to long. Make your joke and get to.the next one.
.Was good but could have been more gooder.
try actual humor…maybe you have heard, Gutfeld is actually funny
I will be watching Greg Gutfeld?! He’s the best anyway!
I’ll pass. I don’t watch them anymore. Tired of monologs being 10-30 plus minutes of political bashing bs. Can anyone do a show any more without it? Every one of them plus @midnight are the same.
This saddens me! First they cut all the late night talk shows to 4 nights a week 😥and now YET MORE weeks with no shows. Seems like they take an extraordinary amount of time off than they use to.
I’m mentioning this because all the late night shows are my favorite TV shows. Gives me much joy to watch them every day. (on TV apps)
I know they work VERY, VERY hard (especially since…well you know) And I appreciate them and all their hard work and time they devote to their monologs and etc. They’re exemplary!! They keep us sane and entertained during this time of utter chaos! I understand time needed off. They work hard!! Now….get back to work.LOL 😉miss you ALOT! Enjoy your vacation while I watch how to spackle a wall….. 🥴😉
