Photos: Late-Night Royalty Descend On Broadway for All-In Premiere

In what’s sure to be the most late night-centric party of the year (that is, until SNL‘s 50th celebration in February), a who’s who of late-night stars showed up at Tuesday night’s gala performance of All In: Comedy About Love.

The new play, written by former Saturday Night Live scribe Simon Rich, and starring fellow SNL alums John Mulaney and Fred Armisen, drew quite the crowd to New York’s Hudson Theater Tuesday night, including Lorne Michaels, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Pete Davidson, Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Cecily Strong, James Austin Johnson, and more.

Adapted from Rich’s humorous short stories that previously appeared in The New YorkerAll In explores dating, heartbreak, marriage, and more.

The show is set to play a limited run of just ten weeks, with a rotating cast of performers in addition to Mulaney and Armisen that also includes Richard Kind, Renee Elise Goldberry, Chloe Fineman, Aidy Bryant, Lin-Manual Miranda, Nick Kroll, Andrew Rannells, Jimmy Fallon, Tim Meadows, Annaleigh Ashford, David Cross and Hank Azaria.

“Sometimes they will play pirates, sometimes they will play dogs, and there’s one where we make them talk in British accents,” the official production description reads. “But even though the show’s kind of all over the place, it’s meant to tell one simple story: that the most important part of life is who we share it with.”

All In: Comedy About Love is produced by Seaview and Lorne Michaels with New Yorker Studios. Alex Timbers, who directed Mulaney’s comedy specials Kid Gorgeous and Baby J, will serve as director. This marks the first time Mulaney has been on Broadway since Oh, Hello in 2016, which Timbers also directed.
