On Wednesday, March 13, CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon split first place in the late-night ratings race.
The Late Show averaged the most total linear viewers on late-night, per usual, with 1,652,000 at 11:35 p.m. The show averaged the second-most P18-49 viewers in the timeslot with 194,000. That represents a -13% drop-off in total viewers and a -3% drop-off in P18-49 viewers from the previous Wednesday episode (March 6, 2024).
Paul Rudd, and Cecilia Vega were Colbert’s guests on Wednesday, March 13.
NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged the most P18-49 viewers in late-night (211,000), and the third-most total viewers in late-night (1,209,000) on March 13. That represents a -6% drop in total viewers and a -4% drop in P18-49 viewers from the prior Wednesday episode.
Angela Bassett, Noel Fielding, Mitch Rowland, and Ben Harper were Fallon’s guests on the Wednesday, March 13 edition of the Tonight Show.
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged the second-most total viewers (1,344,000) and third-most P18-49 viewers (166,000) on Wednesday at 11:35 p.m. That’s -5% in total viewers, but up +6% in P18-49 viewers from the day before. (JKL did not submit Nielsen data for the previous Wednesday, when the show aired a rerun).
Michael Keaton, Ramy Youssef, and Briston Maroney were Kimmel’s guests on Wednesday, March 13.
NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers was the No. 1 show in late-night on Wednesday at 12:37 a.m., both in total viewers (777,000) and in P18-49 (146,000). The show dropped -11% in total viewers and -4% in P18-49 viewers from the previous Wednesday.
Kristen Stewart, Walton Goggins, and Aric Improta were Meyers’ Late Night guests on March 13.
ABC News’ Nightline took second place in the 12:37 a.m. timeslot on Wednesday, both in total viewers (732,000) and in P18-49 viewers (97,000). That’s up +16% in total viewers and a solid +28% in P18-49 viewers from the previous Wednesday’s broadcast — when the show had a Jimmy Kimmel Live! repeat as its lead-in.
CBS After Midnight hosted by Taylor Tomlinson finished third behind NBC and ABC on Wednesday at 12:37 a.m., averaging 504,000 total viewers and 87,000 P18-49 viewers, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. The program shed -7% in total viewers but gained a solid +22% in P18-49 viewers from the previous Wednesday broadcast.
The Wednesday, March 13, 2024 installment of After Midnight featured guest appearances from Caroline Rhea, Matt Rogers, James Davis.
On March 13, correspondents Desi Lydic and Michael Kosta co-hosted Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, and the episode averaged 470,000 total viewers and 113,000 P18-49 viewers, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. Relative to the previous Wednesday broadcast, The Daily Show shed -2% in total viewers and -14% in P18-49 viewers.
