Late Night Ratings: Tuesday, June 11, 2024

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night daily ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.

CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! split first place in the late-night Nielsen ratings race for Tuesday, June 11.

Per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, The Late Show averaged the most total viewers at 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday, with 1,873,000. The program also averaged 206,000 P18-49 in the timeslot, second behind ABC. Colbert’s Late Show shed -10% in total viewers and -16% in P18-49 from the day before (Monday, June 10); +4% but -16%, respectively, from the previous Tuesday episode (June 4). Colbert’s Late Show guests on Tuesday, June 11 were Jake Gyllenhaal, and Chloe Fineman.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged the most P18-49 viewers at 11:35 p.m. this past Tuesday, 221,000. The program also averaged 1,478,000 total viewers, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, second behind CBS. Kimmel gained +51% in total viewers and +26% in P18-49 from the day before. However, the program shed -17% and -8%, respectively, from the previous Tuesday episode (the VP Kamala Harris episode). Donald Glover, Maya Erskine, Jesse Plemons and Bruhat Soma were Kimmel’s guests on Tuesday, June 11.

Elsewhere, NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged 1,325,000 total viewers and 184,000 P18-49, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data for Tuesday, June 11. That’s up +13% in total viewers, but -8% in P18-49 from the day before. It’s also +4% and +5%, respectively, from the Tuesday, June 4 episode. Will Ferrell, and Meghan Trainor were Tonight Show guests this past Tuesday, June 11. Trainor also performed on the program.

Hitting fast-forward, the Tuesday, June 11 edition of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, featuring Meyers’ “Day Drinking” segment with Julia Louis-Dreyfus averaged a 12:35 a.m. timeslot-high 867,000 total viewers with 142,000 P18-49 viewers. That’s +8% and +12%, respectively, from the day before; +15% and +12%, respectively, from the prior Tuesday episode. Eddie Redmayne and Dan Licata were Meyers’ Tuesday, June 11 guests. Tico Torres sat in with the 8G Band.

Following Colbert, CBS’ After Midnight averaged 612,000 total viewers with 106,000 P18-49 viewers in the 12:35 a.m. timeslot, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -1% in total viewers and -19% in P18-49 from the day before; +10% but -18%, respectively, from the previous Tuesday episode. Paul F. Tompkins, Morgan Murphy, and Guy Branum appeared on the Taylor Tomlinson-fronted program.

Following the 11:35 p.m. episode of Kimmel, ABC’s Nightline averaged 741,000 total viewers with 106,000 P18-49 in the 12:35 a.m. timeslot. That’s up +18% in total viewers and +20% in P18-49 viewers from the day before; -15% and flat, respectively, from the week-ago broadcast.

Lastly, The Daily Show guest-hosted by correspondent Jordan Klepper averaged 480,000 total viewers with 104,000 P18-49 on Tuesday, June 11, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -38% and -26%, respectively, from the day before (a Jon Stewart-led episode); but +15% and +1%, respectively, from the previous Tuesday broadcast. Kevin Bacon was Klepper’s guest on the Tuesday, June 11 Daily Show.
