In a guest column for Variety, the Massachusetts senator (and 15-time Colbert guest) writes, “it is a threat to all of us that the top late-night show in the country may have been canceled in order to curry favor with a wannabe king.”
David Letterman himself has yet to comment on the cancellation of the show he launched in 1993, but hard not to read into the 20 minute compilation of Late Show clips just posted to his YouTube channel, which is captioned “You can’t spell CBS without ‘BS.”
