Note: LateNighter generally posts late night daily ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.
For the second consecutive day, CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! split first place in the late-night TV ratings race.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! saw ratings growth on Tuesday, fueled by a guest appearance from Vice President Kamala Harris. The Tuesday, June 4 episode delivered 1,791,000 total viewers and 241,000 P18-49, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s +12% in total viewers and a +3% in P18-49 viewers from the previous day’s new episode (Monday, June 3); +53% in total viewers and +48% in P18-49 from the prior Tuesday telecast (a rebroadcast on May 28). Abby Elliott also appeared on Tuesday’s Kimmel.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! has seen a strong week and a half, ratings-wise, and with the NBA Finals on the horizon for ABC, it’s fair to assume even larger June audiences for the show are imminent.
