Bravo is bringing back The Las Culturistas Culture Awards next year, extending the network’s partnership with Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang and his Las Culturistas co-host Matt Rogers.
An offshoot of their popular podcast, The Las Culturistas Culture Awards recognizes “culture’s most iconic and consequential moments of the year” through musical performances, special guests, and more than 100 hyper-specific award categories. This coming year will mark the second consecutive year Bravo has aired the event and the fifth year overall for the awards franchise.
“We are beside ourselves with joy, excitement and more that The Culture Awards will be back on Bravo and Peacock in 2026!” Rogers and Yang said in a joint statement. “This is officially a front runner in the category of Best Decision Ever Made, though it faces stiff competition from ‘Meryl Streep decides to try acting’ and ‘dumping that loser!!!’ We’ll see you soon! No Addison Rae song is safe.”
Las Culturistas has been one of Yang’s most enduring projects outside of Saturday Night Live. Last year, he told The New Yorker that he had negotiated with SNL to continue the podcast upon his hiring at the show. Yang and Rogers started Las Culturistas in 2016. Yang joined SNL as a writer in 2018 and was elevated to cast member the following year.
Since then, Yang and Rogers have expanded their collaboration, with the duo co-hosting an Olympics podcast for NBC and Rogers serving as a correspondent for the SNL50 anniversary special’s red carpet coverage.
The Las Culturistas Culture Awards is produced and distributed internationally by Lionsgate Alternative Television. Rogers and Yang serve as executive producers alongside Lauren LeMieux, Jonah McMichael, and 3 Arts’ Olivia Gerke.
An exact air date for the awards show has not yet been announced. This year’s event was taped in mid-July and aired on Bravo in early August.
