Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back on duty tonight, with the first in a full week of new Daily Show episodes.
Jon Stewart kicks things off Monday with guest Jodi Kantor, an investigative reporter at the New York Times and an author whose latest book, How to Start: Discovering Your Life’s Work, dropped last week.
From Tuesday through Thursday, Josh Johnson will host The Daily Show. This will mark Johnson’s third cycle behind the desk in 2026, following his previous stints the weeks of January 20 and March 23.
On Tuesday night, Johnson welcomes Stranger Things alum Gaten Matarazzo, who’s out promoting Pizza Movie, a recently released Hulu comedy co-starring Saturday Night Live‘s Sarah Sherman.

Johnson will wrap up the week Thursday with rapper RZA, whose film One Spoon of Chocolate, which he wrote and directed, releases May 1.
Johnson is in the midst of a busy 2026. In addition to taping his his first HBO special (premiering Friday, May 22) and juggling The Daily Show with his regular stand-up dates, he is set to host the 30th annual Webby Awards, which will be held May 11 in New York City.
The popular comic/veteran Daily Show writer joined the Comedy Central program’s host rotation midway through its 2025 run and immediately connected with viewers—particularly those in the advertiser-coveted 18–49 demo.
