Netflix Details Chloe Fineman’s Myron Bolitar Role as Series Begins Production

Days after Chloe Fineman announced her departure from Saturday Night Live, Netflix has officially revealed her next major television role.

Fineman will be a series regular on Myron Bolitar, Netflix’s upcoming drama based on Harlan Coben’s long-running series of novels. The show begins production today.

She’ll play Parker Quinn, a sports reporter for a major publication who has established a strong reputation through her work and passion for sports.

Fineman celebrated the casting on Instagram, calling it a “very cool surreal full circle moment.” She noted that nine years ago, she included impressions from David E. Kelley’s Big Little Lies on her SNL audition tape, adding, “I never thought that one day I’d actually get to be part of a David E. Kelley show.”

The announcement’s timing suggests the impending start of production may have precipitated Fineman’s decision to make her SNL exit public late last week. In announcing her departure after seven seasons, Fineman wrote that although leaving the show was “really hard,” it felt like “the right time” to begin her next chapter.

Colin Woodell will star as Myron Bolitar, with KJ Apa playing Win Lockwood and Diane Guerrero portraying Esperanza Diaz.

Fineman joins newly announced cast members Jabari Banks and Jamie McShane, who will also be series regulars, while Ben McKenzie has signed on in a recurring guest role.

The series follows Myron after an injury ends his NBA aspirations and he reinvents himself as a sports agent. According to Netflix, Myron uses “charm, smarts, and a ruthless partner” to navigate the darker side of the sports business, often putting himself at risk to protect his clients.

David E. Kelley and Kyle Long will serve as writers, executive producers, and co-showrunners. Greg Yaitanes is set to direct multiple episodes and executive produce.

The role adds a prominent post-SNL project to Fineman’s schedule. She has also filmed a role in the upcoming romantic comedy Red, White & Royal Wedding and will appear in the comedy The Dink.
