Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work for a milestone week, with Jon Stewart kicking off a new run of episodes ahead of The Daily Show’s 30th anniversary on Wednesday.
Stewart’s guest is Ben Wikler, the former chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, who will be on to promote his new book, This Is the Plan.
Desi Lydic will then take over the desk Tuesday through Thursday, marking her sixth hosting week of 2026. Her most recent turn came during the week of June 8.
Lydic’s guest Tuesday is soccer legend, activist, and entrepreneur Megan Rapinoe, who will be on to promote her podcast, Why Are You Like This?
Wednesday’s episode will mark the 30th anniversary of The Daily Show, which premiered on Comedy Central on July 22, 1996.
For the anniversary episode, Lydic’s guest will be Elliot Page, who is making the rounds for the new film The Odyssey.
Thursday’s guest has yet to be announced.
Lydic, an 11-year Daily Show veteran, topped the show’s 2025 leaderboard among correspondent-hosts, hosting 29 nights across the year. (Michael Kosta came in second at 25.)
She remains atop the group in 2026 as the first correspondent to reach six hosting weeks. Kosta and Jordan Klepper have now each logged five weeks behind the desk, while Ronny Chieng and Josh Johnson are at four apiece.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, with episodes streaming the following day on Paramount+.
