Watch: Dutch Late-Night TV Imagines a Post-Kimmel Disney

You thought Stephen Colbert’s Thursday night cold open—a parody of Beauty and the Beast’s “Be Our Guest”—went there? Try the Dutch late-night show LUBACH, which reimagined not just one Disney classic in the voice of Donald Trump, but a half dozen of them.

The Lion King’s “Hakuna Matata”? Meet “Maguna MAGA-ta.” In a fake clip from Beauty and the Beast, Belle’s father Maurice tells her, “Oh Belle, you’re so hot. If you weren’t my daughter, I’d probably be dating you.” In Aladdin, the magic carpet ride ends with ICE agents arresting the young couple mid-chorus of “A Whole New World.” Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” becomes “We Don’t Talk About Jeffrey.”

Bambi and Frozen are twisted into anti-trans and climate change–denial propaganda. In a riff on Trump’s infamous Access Hollywood tape, Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid leans in to tell Ariel he’s going to grab her by the… well, you know.

The montage wraps with a crude (and clever) nod to FCC chair Brendan Carr—and has already racked up more than 300,000 YouTube views in its first 24 hours.

The bit lands amid growing anger in the creative community at Disney for indefinitely pulling Jimmy Kimmel Live! after Carr suggested ABC affiliates drop the show, a move quickly embraced by two of the network’s largest station groups.

LUBACH, which premiered in March 2025, is the latest in a string of satirical shows hosted by Arjen Lubach, who’s been dubbed “the Dutch Jon Stewart.” It airs Monday through Thursday nights on RTL 4, The Netherlands’ top commercial network.

I’ve been watching Arjen ever since he did the brilliant “America First, The Netherlands Second” bit in the first term. Not surprised he went there.
