Seth Meyers Plays a Late-Night Host on Digman! Tonight

Seth Meyers will front two talk shows in one night thanks to his guest turn on Digman!, which casts the host as a fictional late-night personality in the world of the show.

The Late Night host is set to appear as talk show host Chortles Collins on tonight’s episode of Digman!, the animated Comedy Central series co-created by Andy Samberg and executive produced by The Lonely Island.

In advance of the episode, the series offered fans a first look at Meyers’ character on social media yesterday. Per an episode synopsis, the Chortles Collins character comes into play as archaeologist Rip Digman (Samberg) tries to get the word out about a global conspiracy he uncovers at the hands of the Titanic Museum. The episode, titled “Jack and Rose,” is the second of Digman!‘s second season.

In addition to returning guest star Lauren Lapkus, the episode will also feature the voices of Amy Sedaris, Anne Ramsay, Beth Grant, and SpongeBob SquarePants’ Tom Kenny.

Meyers first let news of his role slip while chatting with Samberg on an episode of The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast.

“I’m on Digman! this year, guys, and it was so much fun,” Meyers said at the time. “If you want to hear Andy sound like Nic Cage while it’s a comedy Raiders of the Lost Ark, I feel like it’s right up your alley.”

Those wanting to catch Meyers in action on Digman! sooner rather than later will want to tune into the show’s broadcast on Comedy Central, as it’s not expected to stream on Paramount+ until well after the conclusion of Season 2. After concluding last May, Digman!’s 8-episode first season didn’t hit the streamer until December. Comedy Central did release the show’s Season 2 premiere on YouTube last week.

Meyers’ Digman! episode airs on Comedy Central tonight, Wednesday, July 30, at 10:30 PM ET.

Just two hours later, Meyers will continue a week of new Late Night episodes on NBC, welcoming guests Pamela Anderson (star of Akiva Schaffer’s new Naked Gun legacy sequel) and comedian Marc Maron.
