Sarah Sherman, Josh Johnson Join CoComelon Movie Voice Cast

Saturday Night Live‘s Sarah Sherman, The Daily Show‘s Josh Johnson, and SNL alum Ego Nwodim are among the sprawling voice cast for CoComelon: The Movie, announced Thursday.

Based on the popular children’s series and due to hit theaters February 19, 2027, the CG-animated, big-screen foray follows JJ—the protagonist dating back to the original CoComelon YouTube videos—and his friends as they embark on “a cinematic journey filled with original music and rich storytelling.”

Sherman, Johnson and Nwodim will voice unspecified characters created for the film, as will Matt Friend (Family Guy), Ike Barinholtz (The Studio), Nicholas Hoult (Superman), Rhys Darby (Jumanji: The Next Level), Cristo Fernández (Ted Lasso), and R&B singer SZA.

As for familiar CoComelon characters, Connor Esterson (Spy Kids: Armageddon) will voice JJ, Camden Brooks (Swapped) will voice Cody, Olivia London Leyva (Lopez vs. Lopez) will voice Nina, and Aerina DeBoer (The Summer I Turned Pretty) will voice CeCe.

Sherman recently appeared in the Netflix comedy Roommates (written by SNL‘s Jimmy Fowlie and Ceara O’Sullivan) and the Hulu comedy Pizza Movie. Beyond SNL‘s season finale airing this weekend, she next can be seen in Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, a meta slasher film directed by Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow) and due out August 7.

Johnson is in the midst of a busy 2026. In addition to taping his first HBO comedy special (premiering Friday, May 22) and juggling Daily Show writing, anchoring and correspondent duties with his regular stand-up dates, he recently hosted the 30th annual Webby Awards.

As for Nwodim, since her SNL exit ahead of Season 50 has had roles in Netflix’s Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie and the recently released animated feature Hoppers.
