An epic superhero duo is taking over Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week.
Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will guest host on Wednesday, July 24. Lamorne Morris—who will be subbing for Jimmy Kimmel this week while he enjoys his annual planned summer vacation—will step aside for the evening, but is confirmed to still guest host on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
The Marvel-ous occasion falls just ahead of the premiere of the highly anticipated superhero flick, out this Friday. The film, which marks the first R-rated MCU film, stars Reynolds and Jackman as Wade Wilson/Deadpool and James “Logan” Howlett/Wolverine, respectively.
That’s not the only thing Marvel fans can look forward to. Emma Corrin, who costars alongside the duo as Cassandra Nova in Deadpool & Wolverine, is also slated to appear on Wednesday night’s episode. Orville Peck and Noah Cyrus will be the musical guests.
This week’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! is packed with a stacked list of guests. Sebastian Maniscalco and Gillian Jacobs will kick off the week tonight, followed by Zachary Levi and Billy Magnussen on Tuesday; Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers are booked for Thursday, along with Marlon Wayans. Musical guests include Big Sean (Monday), Aaron Frazer (Tuesday), and Brigitte Calls Me Baby (Thursday).
Aside from Morris, Reynolds, and Jackman, this summer’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest hosts have included Martin Short (and Jiminy Glick), Anthony Anderson, Kathryn Hahn, and Kumail Nanjiani. Jeff Goldblum and RuPaul are also slated to host sometime in the near future.
