Late Night This Week: Who’s On and Who’s Gone

Late-night TV will be seeing more than its fair share of repeats this week as several shows take a brief hiatus.

NBC will be dark across the board, with both The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers both on break, plus no new episode of Saturday Night Live. Fallon and Meyers will be off for two weeks, as will SNL, which returns May 3rd with host Quinta Brunson and musical guest Benson Boone.

Over on CBS, After Midnight is also on break this week. The same goes for Last Week Tonight on HBO, and Watch What Happens Live on Bravo. Each are expected to be back with new shows next week.

Not everyone will be sipping Mai Tais on the beach this week, with Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert keeping the lights on at ABC and CBS. They’ll be joined by The Daily Show on Comedy Central, Greg Gutfeld on Fox News, Bill Maher on HBO, and Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney on Netflix

Among the already-announced guests appearing on late night this week, Kathy Bates, Luke Bryan, Rashida Jones, and Bill Simmons are set to join Jimmy Kimmel in studio, while Stephen Colbert will welcome actors Sarah Snook and Finn Wolfhard, senators Elizabeth Warren and Raphael Warnock, and Melinda French Gates.

John Mulaney has his own stacked lineup scheduled for this Wednesday, with David Letterman, Hannibal Buress, Leanne Morgan, Nikki Glaser, and musician Randy Newman all visiting the Netflix series.
