David Letterman Sets Return to Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney

John Mulaney‘s next guest will be none other than David Letterman himself.

Mulaney announced during tonight’s episode of Everybody’s Live that the late-night legend will be among the guests he’ll be welcoming to the show next week.

Letterman previously appeared on Everybody’s Live’s predecessor show, Everybody’s in LA, where he bantered with (and cozied up alongside) comedian Luenell. Letterman’s rapport with Luenell during that appearance led him to partner with Jimmy Kimmel in developing a show for the comedian.

Mulaney’s announcement comes just a day after Letterman released the latest episode of his own Netflix series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, which sees the host lead a sprawling discussion with WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

Letterman welcomed Mulaney to his show last year shortly before repaying the favor on Everybody’s in LA. Released as a one-off special, 2024’s My Next Guest with David Letterman and John Mulaney featured the former Late Show host in conversation with Mulaney and his father, Chip Mulaney. That installment earned My Next Guest an Emmy Award for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special. As a token of appreciation, Letterman gifted that statuette to Mulaney’s dad.

For his new visit to Mulaney’s couch, Letterman will be joined by comedians Hannibal Buress, Leanne Morgan, and Nikki Glaser—the latter of whom is also a returning guest for the show. The episode will also feature a performance from musician Randy Newman.

Mulaney did not share the next episode’s topic, or who he has booked as the panel’s resident expert.

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney streams live on Netflix Wednesdays at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
