SNL, The Daily Show, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Seth Meyers were all represented as The Webby Awards announced their 2025 winners Tuesday morning, with one Saturday Night Live star receiving special recognition.
Weeks after its nominations reveal, the award show has announced who will take home trophies at its 29th annual ceremony—and that includes a Special Achievement award for SNL player Marcello Hernández.
Hernández will be given the Webby Outstanding Comedic Performance Award. Hernández’s award recognizes his “sharp, culturally resonant humor on Saturday Night Live and his viral impact on the Internet, redefining digital comedy for a new generation,” the Webby Awards said in an announcement. Calling him “one of the most electrifying new talents in digital comedy,” the description goes on to single out his Domingo character, which he has brought from SNL to the SNL50 special and a Sabrina Carpenter concert—all resulting in more viral content.
Hernández’s honor isn’t SNL’s only win at this year’s Webbys. Saturday Night Live‘s live show coverage on Instagram Stories scored two wins for Best Use of Stories: both the official Webby, and the fan-voted People’s Voice trophy.
The Daily Show matched SNL with three wins of its own, including Best Social Trophy in the Comedy division and both the traditional Webby and the People’s Voice Award for Best Social in the News & Politics division (for Desi Lydic’s “Foxsplains” web series).
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon won Best Use of Vertical Video for its 9×16 content, which has included celeb guests like Jeremy Renner, Ariana Grande, and BTS.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s social content won Best Social for a television show or film, while the People’s Voice Winner in the same category went to Kimmel’s friendly competitor The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Late Night with Seth Meyers took home a podcasting Webby for the 10th anniversary oral history episode of its Late Night with Seth Meyers Podcast. The audio series won for Best Individual Episode from a television show or film.
Separate from the shows themselves, late-night personalities were also among this year’s podcasting winners, with the Webby for Best Podcast Host going to Conan O’Brien for Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, while Jon Stewart was named the People’s Voice Winner for Best Host for his The Weekly Show podcast. (The Weekly Show also won two Webbys for Best Individual Episode show for Stewart’s episode with Bernie Sanders last December.)
Elsewhere, SNL‘s Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers won the Best Podcast (Comedy) Webby for Las Culturistas, while the the People’s Voice award for Best Co-Hosts went to the Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast squad: Meyers, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone.
The 29th Annual Webby Awards will be hosted by Ilana Glazer on Monday, May 12 at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC.
