Late Night Ratings: Week of June 10, 2024

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night weekly live-plus-three ratings on a three (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen. There is an additional day delay this week, however, in light of the Juneteenth holiday.

ABC’s primetime presentation of the NBA Finals gave Jimmy Kimmel Live! a substantial ratings boost in June, particularly in the key P18-49 demographic.

Per Nielsen live-plus-three data for the week of June 10, 2024, Kimmel averaged 327,000 P18-49 viewers with 1,837,000 total viewers at 11:35 p.m. The 327,000 average in the demo is up +11% from the week prior (the week of June 3), and the show’s largest weekly live-plus-three audience of the year to-date. The show’s 1,837,000 total viewer average, however, is -7% from the week before. Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s week of June 10 ratings averages are based off of four new episodes (Tuesday-Friday) and a rebroadcast (Monday).

CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert continues to deliver the largest total audience in the 11:35 p.m. slot. The program averaged 2,165,000 total viewers and 231,000 P18-49 for the week of June 10, per Nielsen live-plus-three data. That’s -1% and -5%, respectively, from the week before. The Late Show‘s week of June 10 ratings averages are based off of four new episodes (Monday-Thursday) and a rebroadcast (Friday).

NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon finished third at 11:35 p.m., both in total viewers and among P18-49. The program averaged 1,312,000 total viewers and 200,000 demo viewers for the week of June 10, per Nielsen live-plus-three data. Despite the third place finish, The Tonight Show gained +5% in total viewers and +9% in P18-49 from the week before. The Tonight Show‘s week of June 10 ratings averages are based off of four new episodes (Monday-Thursday) and a rebroadcast (Friday).

Following Fallon, NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers averaged 955,000 total viewers and 143,000 P18-49 viewers for the week of June 10, per Nielsen live-plus-three; No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the 12:35 a.m. timeslot. Late Night gained +9% in total viewers and +16% in P18-49 relative to the week before. Meyers‘ week of June 10 ratings averages are based off of four new episodes (Monday-Thursday) and a rebroadcast (Friday).

Following Colbert, CBS’ After Midnight averaged 615,000 total viewers and 115,000 P18-49 viewers for the week of June 10, per Nielsen live-plus-three. After Midnight shed -3% in total viewers and -10% in P18-49 relative to the week before. Week of June 10 ratings averages for the Taylor Tomlinson-led show are based off of four new episodes (Monday-Thursday) and a rebroadcast (Friday).

ABC’s half-hour late night news program Nightline averaged 954,000 total viewers with a timeslot-high 171,000 P18-49 for the week of June 10, per Nielsen live-plus-three data. That’s -1% in total viewers, but +11% in P18-49 from the week before. Nightline aired new episodes on Monday-Friday of last week.

Lastly, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show averaged 954,000 total viewers and 184,000 P18-49 viewers for the week of June 10, per Nielsen live-plus-three. That’s up +3% and +16%, respectively, from the week prior. Jon Stewart hosted The Daily Show’s Monday, June 10 episode, while Jordan Klepper took on TDS host duties Tuesday and Thursday of last week.
