The Daily Show‘s Tuesday-Thursday guest-hosting wheel has landed back on Jordan Klepper, marking his fifth stint as anchor since the 2024 season kicked off in February.
While five may not seem like a massive number, it’s enough to give Klepper a slight edge over his fellow guest hosts. In addition to being the first person to follow Jon Stewart’s lead-in when the longtime host returned to his old chair in a Monday-only capacity on February 12th, Klepper hosted again the week of March 25th, co-hosted with Ronny Chieng the final week of April, then took another solo turn beginning May 6th.
Chieng, who saw a slight bump in ratings with his guest-hosting gig last week, has taken two solo turns as host (plus his co-hosting week with Klepper); while Desi Lydic and Michael Kosta have both hosted four times—including one week in March where they co-hosted—putting them just behind Klepper. Dulcé Sloan has just one week as host under her belt.
Klepper’s guests this week will include Kevin Bacon, who has two new movies to chat up: Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F and MaXXXine; writer/director Jeremy O. Harris will talk about his new documentary, Slave Play. Not a Movie. A Play.; and double-threat actor/musician Maya Hawke, who is the voice of Anxiety in Inside Out 2, also has a new album, Chaos Angel. Questions about the very secretive new season of Stranger Things and what it’s like being the child of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman are also likely inevitable.
Ahead of Klepper, Stewart will remain in his regular Monday night spot tonight, where he’ll talk basketball with sports analyst Monica McNutt.
The Daily Show airs on Comedy Central from Monday through Thursday at 11 pm ET/PT.
