Daily Show Taps Jordan Klepper, Ronny Chieng to Co-Host Tues-Thurs This Week

The Daily Show is going the co-host route again this week, with correspondent Ronny Chieng set to share the desk with contributor Jordan Klepper Tuesday-Thursday this week.

It’s the second time this season that the show has opted to pair two members of its news team for a week-long stint. (Michael Kosta and Desi Lydic shared hosting duties for a week in early March.)

Klepper is tied with Kosta and Lydic for the most weeks spent behind the The Daily Show desk this season; each have been tapped for week-long solo stints three times, and now one week as co-host. Ronny Chieng and Dulce Sloan have each hosted the show solo once. .

The Daily Show also announced its guest list for the coming week.

Tonight Jon Stewart will sit down with author Salmon Rushdie to discuss his new book “Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder.”

Klepper and Chieng’s guest on Tuesday will be economist Stephanie Kelton, promoting her new documentary Finding The Money. On Wednesday, they’ll welcome New Jersey democrat and senatorial candidate Rep. Andy Kim, and on Thursday they’ll sit down with New Yorker staff writer  Kyle Chayka, to discuss his new book “Filterworld: How Algorithms Flattened Culture.”
