Jimmy Kimmel Opens Donation Center at Hollywood Studio

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! team is back to work today, taping a new episode and opening a donation center at the site of the show’s Hollywood studio.

Kimmel announced the opening of the donation center in an Instagram post this afternoon, writing “Fellow Angelenos, if you’re looking for a way to help those affected by the fires, we have a donation center in our backlot in Hollywood. We will quickly distribute essential items to those who need them.”

“Thank you for supporting,” Kimmel wrote, adding “please spread the word to those in our neighborhood.”

The show’s donation center will be accepting bottled water, baby food, pet food and other non-perishable food items along with toiletries, socks and underwear, diapers and baby wipes from 10am-6pm Monday January 13 through Friday Jan 17.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! halted production Wednesday and Thursday of last week as three catastrophic wildfires grew in Los Angeles County.

While the only other Los Angeles-based late-night show, After Midnight, cancelled its first two shows of this week, it appears Kimmel and team will be taping a new episode tonight, with the host set to welcome scheduled guests Snoop Dogg, Roy Wood Jr., and musical guest Dawes.

In a separate social media post over the weekend, Kimmel shared a series of links to The LAFD Foundation, World Central Kitchen, The California Community Foundation, and The California Fire Foundation, alongside a message of thanks to those working to help those impacted by the fires.

“As this nightmare continues, firefighters and first responders from our state and around the country put themselves in harm’s way around the clock to save our lives and homes,” Kimmel wrote. “While we will never be able to thank them sufficiently, we can show appreciation by supporting [them].”
