After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson has cancelled two more tapings amid the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles County. The CBS late-night show’s January 13 and January 14 tapings have now been scrapped, keeping new episodes off the air for at least two more days.
While After Midnight’s Hollywood studio remains out of the fire zone, residents of Los Angeles are being urged to stay off roads in order to leave them open for first responders, and due to low visibility as a result of smoke.
Reruns of After Midnight will be slotted in place of Monday and Tuesday’s planned episodes. Tonight, CBS will re-air the show’s December 11 episode featuring Nico Santos, Ben Feldman, and Franchesca Ramsey. Tomorrow, a repeat of the December 3 episode with Josh Thomas, Brandon Kyle Goodman, and Suzi Barrett will air.
Taylor Tomlinson herself was in Brea, CA this weekend, performing a run of standup shows at The Improv, where she told attendees that she’d be donating her proceeds from the shows to various wildfire relief funds. Tomlinson also shared a list of organizations she encourages people to support.
After Midnight cancelled two tapings last Wednesday after the fires broke out, forcing repeats to air on Wednesday and Thursday nights. (Tomlinson typically tapes both Wednesday and Thursday episodes on Wednesdays.)
Jimmy Kimmel Live followed suit, cancelling its own tapings last week. As of press time, tonight’s Jimmy Kimmel Live taping was still on. Kimmel is scheduled to welcome Snoop Dogg and Roy Wood Jr. to the show tonight.
As of now, After Midnight’s two planned tapings for Wednesday, January 15, remain scheduled. Paul F. Tompkins and Tawny Newsome are scheduled guests for the first taping, while Jackie Kashian, Marcella Arguello, and Aida Rodriguez are slated to guest on the second.
