Jimmy Kimmel Dark Again Tonight as L.A. Wildfires Rage on

Production on Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been shut down for the second day in a row as Los Angeles continues to grapple with its worst-ever wildfires.

A new fire in the Hollywood Hills Wednesday night forced evacuation orders as far south as the Ovation Hollywood entertainment complex, which is across the street from the theater where Kimmel’s show is produced. That fire has since been contained and evacuation orders lifted, but with firefighters and emergency workers still battling three other major fires, Los Angeles County remains in a state of emergency.

ABC will air a repeat of JLK’s December 3rd episode tonight. Tonight’s scheduled guests Timothée Chalamet, Fernanda Torres, and The Lumineers will presumably be re-booked on future episodes.

Kimmel’s late-night show is currently scheduled to return with a new episode Monday.

After Midnight, late night’s only other Los Angeles-based show, cancelled two tapings of its own that had been planned for Wednesday afternoon. As it did last night, Taylor Tomlinson-hosted CBS show will also air a repeat tonight.

With their West Coast counterparts out Wednesday night, the New York late-night shows each paid tribute to Los Angeles and its residents on their shows, with Colbert, Meyers, Fallon, and Desi Lydic urging viewers to contribute to the American Red Cross and other organizations on the ground in L.A. working to help victims of the fires.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who home was threatened by the Palisades fire, made an emotional appearance with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night, telling the host “I’m literally just about to cry” as she sat down, and shared what she knew about the toll it had already taken on her community.

Jimmy should rally all his musical friends and have a televised all star concert to raise money for the southern California fire victims. Have call in numbers to donate. Similar to Live Aid
