The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers begin a two-week vacation today, joining The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Daily Show, which were both already on extended end-of-the-summer breaks.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be the only traditional late-night show producing new episodes this week—though not with its regular host. Tiffany Haddish will be taking the final turn in Kimmel’s summer guest host rotation before the show itself pauses for a one-week break next week. Jimmy Kimmel is set to return September 2 for his show’s Season 24 premiere.
Colbert, Fallon, and Meyers are all scheduled to return with new episodes that same night, while The Daily Show wraps up its own five-week break on September 8.
Watch What Happens Live and Last Week Tonight are also dark for the next two weeks, while Gutfeld! and Nightline will continue producing new episodes as usual.
As we’ve previously reported, Haddish wasn’t part of Kimmel’s original 2025 summer guest host lineup announced in June. The nine-time JKL guest is filling in for Kumail Nanjiani, whose casting in the Broadway musical Oh, Mary! upended his plans to step in for Kimmel.
Haddish’s first week features an impressive guest list that includes Michelle Williams and Jason Isaacs tonight, Adam Scott on Tuesday, and Andy Samberg on Wednesday.
