Alan Cumming, Fortune Feimster to Guest Host Jimmy Kimmel Live! Next Week

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has booked two guest hosts for next week—and they’ve got two Tony Awards and three Netflix specials between them.

Actor Alan Cumming will fill in for Jimmy Kimmel on Monday, July 21, for one night only. Comedian Fortune Feimster will then take over from Tuesday, July 22, through Thursday, July 24.

Cumming currently serves as the Emmy-winning host of The Traitors on Peacock. The hit reality competition series finished its third season in March and was renewed for two more. He’s also set to reprise his role as Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday, and plans to host the upcoming true crime series The Killer Among Us for Oxygen.

His night as host will also serve as his Jimmy Kimmel Live! debut—the actor has never guested on the show. Cumming is the first JKL guest host this summer to host for just one night.

It’s also Feimster’s first time hosting JKL, though the comic has appeared on the program four times as a guest.

Feimster is currently out on her “Takin’ Care of Biscuits” stand-up tour and will be taking a quick pause to fill in for Kimmel. Her stint begins the day after she’s scheduled to perform in Canada. She previously canceled a July 24 date in Massachusetts to make the schedule work. She’s set to resume the tour in Montreal on July 26, two days after her week in late night wraps up.

The two guest hosts mark the second duo to tag-team a week of JKL this summer. The show also booked two part-time hosts for this week: comedian Chris Distefano led the Monday and Tuesday shows, while musician Jelly Roll is set to host Wednesday and Thursday nights.

As has become tradition, Kimmel is in the middle of an extended summer vacation. JKL’s guest-host format will continue through August. Upcoming hosts whose dates have yet to be announced include comedian Nicole Byer and actor Kumail Nanjiani.
