Jelly Roll, Chris Distefano to Share Kimmel Guest-Hosting Duties Next Week

With Jimmy Kimmel two and a half weeks into his annual summer vacation, his ABC late-night series is revealing its next two guest hosts.

Breaking from the week-long guest-host format established this summer by Diego Luna and Anthony Anderson, Jimmy Kimmel Live! will divide next week’s episodes between two guest hosts: comedian Chris Distefano and musician Jelly Roll.

Distefano is set to take over Kimmel’s desk on Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15. While his panel guests have yet to be announced, musician Cuco is scheduled to perform Tuesday night.

Jelly Roll will then step in to host JKL on Wednesday, July 16, and Thursday, July 17.

Though Distefano has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! three times as a guest, next week will mark his first stint as host. It’s the latest in a growing list of late-night credits for the comic, who debuted earlier this year as a contributor on The Daily Show.

Jelly Roll is also stepping behind the desk for the first time. He made his national television debut on JKL in 2022 (in an episode guest-hosted by Chelsea Handler) and has returned four more times since then.

Kimmel’s rotating slate of summer fill-ins began this year with a standout week of episodes hosted by Diego Luna, who not only reunited with Andor co-stars but also used his platform to highlight immigration injustices in the U.S.

Meanwhile, Anthony Anderson continues his weeklong guest-hosting stint at the El Capitan Theatre. Tonight’s lineup includes his AC Barbeque partner Cedric the Entertainer (who recently appeared with Anderson in a surprise Colbert segment), plus chef Adam Perry Lang, and musical guest AJR.
