The Daily Show Seeks Chicago Audiences For Week of DNC Shows

Good news for Daily Show fans in or around Chicago this summer: the Comedy Central series has opened up ticket requests for its “Indecision 2024” broadcasts from the Windy City this August.

The full week of shows coincides with the dates of the Democratic National Convention: Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22. Jon Stewart has said he’ll be accompanying the show to Chicago, although it’s unclear at this point whether he’ll stick with his usual Monday-night-only hosting schedule that week.

As we’ve previously reported, The Daily Show is set to take “The Best F*cking News Team on Television” on the road twice this summer, with the show visiting Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention in July. (Ticket requests for those shows opened a few weeks back.)

While TDS has made a tradition of visiting the conventions during election years, this summer’s tapings will mark the show’s first time on site since 2016. In 2020, the late-night shows were broadcasting remotely amid the pandemic and the conventions themselves were scaled down—forcing The Daily Social Distancing Show with Trevor Noah to cover events from afar.

Tickets for The Daily Show’s Chicago tapings are available to request at this link now, via the show’s ticketing partner 1iota. Each night’s shows currently have a start time of 4 pm.

The Daily Show won’t be the only late-night show broadcasting from the DNC this summer. Earlier this spring, Stephen Colbert announced that he would be taking The Late Show on the road for the very first time as it, too, plans to broadcast a week of shows from Chicago. No word yet on when tickets to Colbert’s shows will be made available.
