Viewers hoping for a new televised installment in Jon Stewart’s very public negotiations with Elon Musk over a possibleThe Daily Show interview will have to wait.
That’s because Jon Stewart and “The Best F**king News Team” are taking a one-week break. They’ll will be back with new episodes Monday March 17th, 2025.
It’s the second time the Comedy Central series has gone dark in a month. (Its last one-week break began February 17th.)
So how will The Daily Show crew be using their time off? At least a couple of the show’s correspondents have standup dates scheduled this week, with both Michael Kosta and Josh Johnson hitting the road. Kosta has performances scheduled in New York City and Austin, Texas this week, while Johnson will be doing a series of dates in Savannah, GA and Charleston and Columbia, SC.
As for Jon Stewart, he went out on a high note last week, delivering a much-talked about monologue in which he addressed Elon Musk’s offer to appear on The Daily Show if the show agreed to air it unedited. Stewart readily agreed before noting that Musk had already begun backing away from his offer, posting to his social media platform that “Jon Stewart can not be trusted” because he’s “partisan.”
Stewart then went on to address the combative Oval Office encounter between Donald Trump, JD Vance and the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy in what ended up being not only his longest-ever Daily Show monologue, as LateNighter’s Bill Carter wrote, also one of his strongest.
We SO need The Daly Show to help us though these HELL Trump Times!! Please stay on the air!
Thank you

I LOVE this show. I wish they would announce these one week breaks on the air. Just like last time, I had thought they were cancelled or something. Kinda frustrating.
