The Daily Show has quietly passed a milestone few can claim: it now has 10 million followers on TikTok.
The gulf between the various late-night shows on the video-sharing platform is dramatic, with the #1 most-followed show—The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon—leading the pack at 24.6 million followers, followed by Saturday Night Live at 12.3 million and The Daily Show at 10 million. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert comes in at #4 with 3.2 million.
On a platform where the vast majority of accounts never crack six figures, hitting eight digits puts The Daily Show in elite territory. According to publicly available data, fewer than 0.01% of TikTok accounts have over 10 million followers—putting the show in roughly the top one one-hundredth of a percent of all creators on the platform.
And that’s not just impressive for a legacy media brand—it’s a meaningful sign of cultural relevance. TikTok is the dominant platform for under-35 audiences, and it increasingly shapes what clips go viral, what conversations trend, and what comedic voices get amplified.

It’s the latest bit of positive news for The Daily Show, which recently logged its best ratings among younger viewers in recent memory when Josh Johnson hosted a week of shows last month.
Of course, the show’s online popularity extends beyond TikTok. It’s number four behind The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and SNL on YouTube, with nearly 13 million subscribers. The show has also been resurgent on Reddit, where its follower count has grown by nearly 10x in the 20 months since it was announced in early 2024 that Jon Stewart would be returning to the show.
The Daily Show is currently on a five-week summer hiatus. It’s set to return with new episodes Monday. September 8th.
Thanks to Falah Khokhar for the tip.
Awesome news considering TikTok is about to shut down on September 17.
Thank you Dementia Joe Biden!
More like thank you, you fucking retard, for helping give us Drumpf2, a sequel no sane person asked for!
Drumpf? How 2017.
Still better than Dementia Joe Biden and that Ho Kneepads Kamala.
Only a Drumpf licking MAGAt, like you, would think your fat stupid hero is better than Biden or Kamala! But then again, you’re not a serious person, retard! You troll here because you think you can get away with it without any moderation pushback.
And Drumpf is his family’s real name, retard! His grandpappy changed it after he arrived from Germany after the country kicked him out for refusing to report for mandatory military service! Got a problem with that? Eat my shit, bitch!
Both of you need to shut the fuck up and get away from each other.
How be I give you and that fucking troll a good bitchslapping to your fucking mouths?
