The Chris Gethard Show’s Staged Revival Will Be Live-Streamed

Those who weren’t quick enough to get tickets to this Friday’s one-off revival of The Chris Gethard Show won’t miss out completely.

The talk show will be aired live online with the purchase of a ticket, Gethard has announced.

“The TCGS reunion show will be streamed,” Gethard shared on Twitter/X. “Wasn’t sure if it was going to happen but glad it came together.”

Perhaps equally as exciting: the comedian also confirmed that phone lines will be open. Viewer call-ins had been a staple of TCGS throughout its run.

The show’s return is part of the week-long grand opening festivities for NYC’s new Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. (The packed lineup of shows from September 13-19 is also set to include a live performance from SNL‘s Please Don’t Destroy.)

Following its initial announcement last month, tickets to catch Gethard’s show in-person sold out within 25 minutes. The night will mark the first time Gethard has staged TCGS since 2018. Originating as a live show at UCB in 2009, the show’s nine-year run included stops on Manhattan public access TV, Fusion, and truTV.

Appreciation for The Chris Gethard Show saw a bit of a resurgence amid the run of John Mulaney’s similarly anarchistic Netflix talker, John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA.

Set to feature TCGS regulars like Shannon O’Neill, Murf Meyer, Connor Ratliff—and, yes, apparently Vacation JasonThe Chris Gethard Show will be staged this Friday, September 13, at 9 PM ET. Livestream tickets for the sold-out show are available for purchase at this link.
