With less than a month to go on the air, it’s never too late for an After Midnight first, with the show set to welcome its first-ever guest host tonight.
Lisa Gilroy will be filling in for Taylor Tomlinson.
LateNighter understands that Tomlinson had a pre-planned personal engagement that prevented her from being at today’s taping.
A comedian, actress and YouTuber, Gilroy has appeared as a panelist on the show four times in the past. Her other TV credits include roles on A Man on the Inside and The Studio. She’s set to reprise the latter role in the show’s season finale this Wednesday.
Gilroy’s panelists tonight are all returning guests to the show—comedians Sandy Honig, Caitlin Reilly, and Jared Goldstein. Honig has appeared four times before. Reilly has made three visits to the show, while Goldstein has competed twice.
In a pair of stories posted to her Instagram handle Tuesday afternoon, Gilroy captioned a promotional image for her guesting hosting debut “Freaking out!” and “@TaylorTominson honored to be stepping in for the QUEEN!”

Since then, After Midnight hasn’t shied away from continuing to experiment with its format. The show recently took inspiration from March Madness to hold its first-ever tournament week. It has also been maintaining its buzzy booking tactics, staging mini reunions for shows like Traitors and themed panels for casts of new series like Government Cheese.
Gilroy’s guest hosting debut on After Midnight airs on CBS tonight, Tuesday May 20th, at 12:37am. It will stream tomorrow on Paramount+.
After Midnight is scheduled to air its final episode on June 12th.
