Let’s hope Michael Longfellow has secured his REAL ID by now, because the comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member is heading out on a summer stand-up tour.
Longfellow, who led a memorable “Weekend Update” piece on REAL ID on the penultimate episode of SNL’s 51st season, has announced his No Worries If Not Tour, dropping an eye-catching poster for the outing (designed by SNL film unit creative designer and Animated Shorts director Leigh mcG) Tuesday on Instagram.
The tour kicks off with two nights at The Creek and The Cave in Austin, Texas later this week, with Longfellow performing two shows per night Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7. The comic will follow that up with five shows in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ.
All in all, Longfellow’s 11-city run will bring him around the country through the end of August. Along the way, he’ll be joining forces with his SNL cast mate Devon Walker for two shows. Walker, who announced his own solo standup jaunt earlier this week, will co-headline with Longfellow in Philadelphia and Las Vegas.
Over half a dozen SNL cast members have now announced road dates this summer. James Austin Johnson, Andrew Dismukes, Emil Wakim, Jane Wickline, and Please Don’t Destroy have all announced tours of their own.
“Hope to see you at a show but no worries if not. It’s busy out here!” Longfellow wrote in an announcement befitting the tour’s title. “Still, hope you can make it out. Again though, all good either way.”
Longfellow was upped from SNL featured player to a member of the show’s reperatory cast at the beginning of this past season. He first joined the show in 2022.
