Seth Meyers will be venturing across the country and over to another network to guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday, May 28th.
Meyers’ scheduled visit will come in the middle of a two-week break from hosting Late Night with Seth Meyers. (Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be the only nightly network show churning out new episodes Memorial Day week.)
Despite sharing the airwaves for over a decade, Meyers has only visited with Jimmy Kimmel once before, making his Jimmy Kimmel Live! debut just last year, when he promoted his own late-night show and his two podcasts, Family Trips and the then-new The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast. (Meyers’ co-host Andy Samberg ended up crashing that interview.)
A month later, Kimmel repaid the favor by guesting on Late Night for the first time.
Kimmel and Meyers were friendly before those visits, having collaborated on Strike Force Five and hawked children’s books for charity together. Meyers’ brother, actor Josh Meyers, has frequently recurred on JKL as California governor Gavin Newsom.
The two hosts should have plenty to talk about. Since his last visit, Meyers played a major hand in the SNL50 festivities, and dropped his first standup special in five years, Dad Man Walking, on HBO. Kimmel, meanwhile, just became a grandfather, racking up congratulations from guests like Sarah Silverman and Henry Winkler this week.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s episode with Seth Meyers airs Wednesday, May 28th on ABC.
