Late-Night Ratings: Friday, Nov. 22, 2024

Jimmy Kimmel Live! closed out last week with its third nightly win of the week, dominating the 11:35 p.m. time slot on Friday November 22nd—both in total viewers and among viewers 18-49. It was the second Friday win in a row for the ABC late-night show.

ABC re-aired Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s Nov. 11 episode this past Friday, with the telecast averaging 1,393,000 total viewers and 188,000 P18-49 at 11:35 p.m. That’s down -13% in total viewers and -3% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), but +10% and +18%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (also a repeat). Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s Nov. 11 episode featured actors Jeff Bridges and William Stanford Davis, and musical guest Sting.

Unusually, Friday’s Kimmel rerun captured a larger audience than it did in its original airing earlier this month, which fell on Veteran’s Day, a traditionally low-rated night for late night.

CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon split second place on November 22nd in the 11:35 p.m. time slot behind Kimmel. Colbert took second in total viewers, while Fallon averaged the second-most viewers 18-49 in the hour.

CBS re-aired The Late Show‘s Nov 11, 2024 episode, with the 11:35 p.m. telecast averaged 1,304,000 total viewers and 180,000 P18-49. That’s down -23% in total viewers and -15% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode) but up+15% and +67%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (a repeat). The Late Show‘s Nov 11 episode featured Chris Evans, Javier Bardem, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson

At the same time, NBC re-aired The Tonight Show ‘s Nov 14th episode, with the 11:35 p.m. telecast averaging 1,249,000 total viewers and 184,000 P18-49. That’s up +8% in total viewers and -9% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), plus +54% and +48%, respectively, from the previous Friday telecast (also a repeat). Ariana Grande and Michael Bublé were Fallon’s guests on his Nov. 14 episode.

Following The Tonight Show, NBC re-aired the Nov. 7 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers. The 12:37 a.m. telecast averaged 663,000 total viewers with 184,000 P18-49. That’s down -24% in total viewers and – 16% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), and -1% and +8%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (also a repeat). Barry Keoghan and Scott Speedman guests on the Nov. 6 episode of Late Night.

Following The Late Show  repeat, CBS re-aired After Midnight’s Oct. 16, 2024 episode (Andy Richter, Thomas Lennon, Aparna Nancherla), with the 12:37 a.m. telecast averaging just 608,000 total viewers with 112,000 P18-49. That’s down -3% in total viewers and -+17 among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), +17% and 25%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (also a repeat).

Lastly, airing right after Jimmy Kimmel Live!Nightline averaged 803,000 total viewers with 138,000 P18-49 at 12:37 a.m. That’s down-3% in total viewers and +17% in P18-49 from the night before; -1% and +25%, respectively, from the week-ago Nightline episode.
