Ratings: Kimmel Reigns Over Repeat-Filled Friday (Nov. 15, 2024)

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! was the dominant show in the 11:35 p.m. time slot on another repeat-filled Friday—both in total viewers and among viewers 18-49.

ABC re-aired Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s Nov. 7 episode this past Friday, with the telecast averaging 1,271,000 total viewers and 159,000 P18-49 at 11:35 p.m. That’s down -6% in total viewers but up +64% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode); +17% and +53%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (also a repeat) in total and P18-49 viewers. Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s Nov. 7 episode featured guests John David Washington and Don Johnson, with musical guest mxmtoon.

CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon split second place on November 22 in the 11:35 p.m. time slot. Colbert took second in total viewers, while Fallon averaged the second-most viewers 18-49 in the hour.

CBS re-aired The Late Show‘s Oct. 29, 2024 episode this past Friday, and the 11:35 p.m. telecast averaged 1,138,000 total viewers with only 108,000 P18-49. That’s down -42% in total viewers and -55% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode) plus -21% and -33%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (a repeat). The Late Show‘s Oct. 29 episode featured Tom Hanks as guest, and a performance from Rachel Zegler and Jack Antonoff, featuring the cast of Romeo + Juliet.

At the same time, NBC re-aired The Tonight Show ‘s Oct. 21 episode this past Friday, and the 11:35 p.m. telecast averaged 1,138,000 total viewers with 124,000 P18-49. That’s down -31% in total viewers and -36% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), plus -20% and -30%, respectively, from the previous Friday telecast (also a repeat). Samuel L. Jackson, and Justin Hartley were Fallon’s guests on the Oct. 21 episode, while Tommy Richman performed.

Following The Tonight Show, NBC re-aired the Nov. 6 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers. The 12:37 a.m. telecast averaged 673,000 total viewers with 145,000 P18-49. That’s down -16% in total viewers but up +12% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), and +9% and +10%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (also a repeat). Joel McHale, and Ali Larter were Meyers’ guests on the Nov. 6 episode of Late Night.

Following The Late Show  repeat, CBS re-aired After Midnight’s Oct. 31, 2024 episode (featuring guests Marcella Arguello, Justin Willman, and Caroline Rhea), with the 12:37 a.m. telecast averaging just 466,000 total viewers with 75,000 P18-49. That’s down -24% in total viewers and -34% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), -32% and -44%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (also a repeat).

Lastly, airing right after Jimmy Kimmel Live!Nightline averaged 808,000 total viewers with 110,000 P18-49 at 12:37 a.m. That’s up +15% in total viewers and a notable +104% in P18-49 from the night before; +17% and +80%, respectively, from the week-ago Nightline episode.
