Jimmy Kimmel Live! won the 11:35 p.m. timeslot on Wednesday, May 29, averaging 1,521,000 total viewers with 206,000 P18-49 viewers, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. In addition to being No. 1 in the timeslot, that’s +30% and +26%, respectively, versus Tuesday’s episode (a rebroadcast), -7% and -0.5%, respectively, from the previous Wednesday episode (new). Ke Huy Quan, and Bobby Cannavale were Kimmel’s guests on May 29. NIKI performed on the program.
CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon were both rebroadcasts on Wednesday, May 29, and split second place in the 11:35 p.m. timeslot.
The Late Show‘s rebroadcast (its May 2, 2024 episode) averaged 1,340,000 total viewers with 170,000 P18-49 viewers on CBS this past Wednesday at 11:35 p.m. That’s -2% and -4%, respectively, from the day before (also a rebroadcast), -22% and -31%, respectively, from the previous Wednesday’s episode (new).
The Tonight Show‘s May 14, 2024 episode averaged 1,395,000 total viewers with 147,000 P18-49 viewers at 11:35 p.m. this past Wednesday. That’s +24% and +20%, respectively, versus the day before (a rebroadcast), -9% and -43%, respectively, from the previous Wednesday episode (new).
Following The Tonight Show, NBC aired a rebroadcast of Late Night with Seth Meyers‘ May 8, 2024 episode, and the telecast averaged 782,000 total viewers with 88,000 P18-49 viewers at 12:36 a.m. That’s +27% in total viewers, and +11% in P18-49 viewers versus Monday’s episode (a rebroadcast), -4% and -31%, respectively, from the previous Wednesday’s episode (new).
Following Colbert’s Late Show, CBS aired a rebroadcast of After Midnight‘s April 1, 2024 episode, and it averaged 581,000 total viewers with just 84,000 P18-49 viewers at 12:36 a.m. That’s +11% in total viewers but -33% in demo viewers versus the day before (a rebroadcast), +5% in total viewers and -26% in demo viewers from the previous Wednesday’s episode (another rebroadcast).
Following Kimmel, ABC aired a new episode of Nightline this past Wednesday, which averaged 730,000 total viewers with 101,000 P18-49 viewers. That represents a +15% gain in total viewers, and a +4% gain in P18-49 viewers from the day before (new). The show -15% in total viewers and -1% in P18-49 versus the previous Wednesday’s episode (new).
Comedy Central’s The Daily Show did not air on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
