Late Night Ratings: Wednesday, April 10, 2024

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night daily ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.

The Nielsen live-plus-same-day data for Wednesday, April 10 is in, and most of the late-night shows shed viewers from comparable evenings. Still, someone had to win the ratings race, and it was CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert which won on Wednesday, both in total viewers and in P18-49 viewers.

CBS’ 11:35 p.m. offering averaged 1,736,000 total viewers and 212,000 P18-49 viewers on Wednesday. That represents a -7% loss in total viewers and -15% loss in P18-49 viewers from the the day before (Tuesday, April 9, 2024), a -7% loss in total viewers and -7% loss in P18-49 viewers from the previous Wednesday episode (April 3, 2024).

Christiane Amanpour, and Wilmer Valderrama were guests on Wednesday’s Late Show.

NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged the second-most P18-49 viewers and third-most total viewers on Wednesday at 11:35 p.m. Fallon’s 193,000 P18-49 viewer average on Wednesday is -22% from the day before (the Conan O’Brien episode), and -27% from the previous Wednesday, while the show’s 1,240,000 total viewers average is +1% from the day before but -22% from the previous Wednesday episode.

Adam Levine, and Ella Purnell were guests on Wednesday’s Tonight Show. Benson Boone performed.

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged the second-most total viewers at 11:35 p.m. (1,464,000) and third-most P18-49 viewers (181,000) this past Wednesday. That’s -10% and +4%, respectively, from the day before, -5% and -7%, respectively, from the previous Wednesday.

Jon Bon Jovi, and Henry Hall were guests on Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! Mk. gee performed.

Hitting fast-forward, NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers averaged the most total viewers at 12:37 a.m. (754,000), but tied its CBS counterpart in P18-49 viewers (103,000) on Wednesday. Late Night shed -3% in total viewers and -15% in P18-49 viewers from the day before, -26% and -37%, respectively, from the Wednesday before.

Kirsten Dunst, and Sean Casey & Ryan Dempster were Late Night’s guests this past Wednesday.

CBS’ After Midnight averaged 538,000 total viewers and 103,000 P18-49 viewers this past Wednesday. That’s -15% and -21%, respectively from the day before, -3% and -18%, respectively, from the Wednesday prior.

Joel Kim Booster, Sandy Honig, and Greta Titelman appeared on Wednesday’s After Midnight.

ABC News’ half-hour offering Nightline aired an original episode this past Wednesday, which averaged 715,000 total viewers and 113,000 P18-49 viewers at 12:37 a.m. That represents an -11% loss in total viewers but a +55% gain in P18-49 viewers from the day before,-9% and -4% in those respective measurements versus the previous Wednesday.

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show is being hosted by Michael Kosta on Tuesday through Thursday this week. His Wednesday, April 10 episode averaged 405,000 total viewers and 122,000 P18-49 viewers, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -1% in total viewers, and -17% in P18-49 viewers from the Tuesday episode, -17% in total viewers but +13% in P18-49 viewers from TDS’ most-recent Wednesday episode, hosted by fellow correspondent Desi Lydic.

Vampire Weekend performed on Wednesday’s Daily Show.
