Michael Kosta Returns to Tues-Thurs Daily Show Anchor Desk This Week

Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta is set to again host the Daily Show’s Tuesday through Thursday episodes this week, picking up where Monday night host Jon Stewart leaves off tonight.

This will be Kosta’s third week behind The Daily Show’s anchor desk this season. He hosted solo one week in late February, and returned for a week-long co-hosting stint with fellow correspondent Desi Lydic a month ago.

On Tuesday he’ll welcome writer/director Alex Garland, whose new film Civil War opens this Friday. The new dystopian action film follows a team of journalists who travel across the United States during a rapidly escalating Second American Civil War.

Wednesday, his guests will be Vampire Weekend, promoting their new album “Only God Was Above Us.” This will be the band’s first televised performance since 2019.

And Thursday he’ll be talking with poet, essayist, and cultural critic Hanif Abdurraqib, whose best-selling new book “There’s Always This Year” is a personal reflction on basketball, life and home.

Kosta joined The Daily Show in July 2017 as a correspondent. He’s now a senior correspondent for show.
