The Late Show averaged a timeslot-high 1,964,000 total viewers along with 219,000 P18-49 on Tuesday, June 18, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s down -3% but up +26%, respectively, from the day before; +5% and +6%, respectively, from the previous Tuesday episode (June 11). Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor were guests on the Tuesday, June 18 Late Show. Lake Street Dive performed.
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged 1,433,000 total viewers with a timeslot-high 236,000 P18-49 on Tuesday, June 18, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -10% in total viewers and -30%, respectively, from the night before (aided by an NBA Finals lead-in); -3% but +7%, respectively, from the previous Tuesday episode. Norman Reedus, and Hannah Einbinder were guests on the Tuesday, June 18 Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wallows performed.
NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged 1,310,000 total viewers with 209,000 at 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s up +3% in total viewers and +3% in P18-49 viewers from the night before; +5% and +14%, respectively, from the show’s Tuesday, June 11 averages. Kevin Costner, and Chace Crawford were guests on the June 18 Tonight Show. Shenseea performed.
Following Fallon, the Tuesday, June 18 edition of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers averaged 778,000 total viewers with 151,000 P18-49, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s +7% in total viewers and +21% in P18-49 from the day before; -10% and +6%, respectively, from the Tuesday prior. Eddie Murphy, and Nicola Yoon were Meyers’ Tuesday, June 18 guests. Mario Duplantier sat in with the 8G Band.
Following Colbert, CBS’ After Midnight averaged 606,000 total viewers with only 86,000 P18-49 viewers in the 12:35 a.m. hour, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s up +13% in total viewers but -9% in P18-49 from the day before; -1% and -19%, respectively, from the previous Tuesday. Terry Crews, Joe Manganiello, Patton Oswalt appeared on the Taylor Tomlinson-fronted program on Tuesday, June 18.
Following Kimmel, ABC’s Nightline averaged 743,000 total viewers with 146,000 P18-49 in the 12:35 a.m. slot, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. Without that Monday NBA Finals halo effect, Nightline shed -19% in total viewers and -30% in P18-49 on Tuesday. Relative to the prior Tuesday, however, the program gained +0.3% in total viewers and +38% in P18-49..
Lastly, The Daily Show was co-hosted by Ronny Chieng & Desi Lydic on Tuesday, June 18, and per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, the episode averaged 430,000 total viewers with 88,000 P18-49. Relative to the previous day’s episode (hosted by Jon Stewart), Tuesday’s episode shed -42% in total viewers and -47% in P18-49. Compared with the Tuesday before (hosted by Jordan Klepper), the program shed -10% and -15%, respectively. Rosalind Chao joined Chieng and Lydic on the Tuesday, June 18 edition of The Daily Show.
