Late Night Ratings: Thursday, June 13, 2024

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night daily ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.

CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! split first place in the late-night ratings race on Thursday, June 13.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! shed a good deal of viewers without an NBA Finals lead-in. The Thursday, June 13 episode averaged 1,526,000 total viewers and 243,000 P18-49 viewers, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -25% and -41%, respectively, compared to the day before (with a Game 3 Finals lead-in); -35% and -56%, respectively, compared to the previous Thursday (with a Game 1 Finals lead-in). Still, Kimmel averaged more P18-49 viewers than its NBC and CBS counterparts, and more total viewers than its NBC counterpart. Sean Penn, June Squibb on Thursday’s edition of Kimmel. The Avett Brothers performed.

The Late Show averaged a timeslot-high 1,738,000 total viewers along with 215,000 P18-49 on Thursday, June 13, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -3% and +10%, respectively from the day before; up +3% and +10%, respectively, from the previous Thursday episode. Jude Law was Colbert’s guest this past Thursday, and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats performed on the program.

NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged 1,229,000 total viewers but just 145,000 P18-49 this past Thursday at 11:35 p.m., per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s +3% and -26%, respectively, from the day before; up +0.2% and -31%, respectively, from the previous Thursday episode. Ayo Edebiri, and Talking Heads were Fallon’s guests. The Linda Lindas performed (a tribute to Talking Heads) on the program.

Following Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers averaged 780,000 total viewers with 96,000 P18-49 in the 12:35 a.m. slot. That’s -6% and -28%, respectively, from the day before; but +15% and +8%, respectively, versus the previous Thursday episode. Jon Hamm, Bowen Yang, Matt Rogers appeared on Late Night. Tico Torres sat in with the 8G Band.

Following Colbert, CBS’ After Midnight averaged 531,000 total viewers with 94,000 P18-49 in the 12:35 a.m. timeslot this past Thursday. That’s +5% and +38%, respectively, from the day before; but -6% and -1%, respectively, from the previous Thursday episode. Jenna Ushkowitz, Kate Micucci, and Eliot Glazer were Taylor Tomlinson’s guests on the June 13 edition of After Midnight.

Nightline‘s Thursday, June 13 episode averaged 798,000 total viewers with 126,000 P18-49. That’s -32% and -41%, respectively, from the day before (a Finals-lifted episode); -33% and -57%, respectively, from the prior Thursday episode (also Finals-lifted).

Lastly, The Daily Show guest-hosted by contributor Jordan Klepper averaged 388,000 total viewers with 97,000 P18-49 this past Thursday, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -8% and -9%, respectively, from the day before; but up +3% and +23%, respectively, from the previous Thursday episode. Maya Hawke was Klepper’s Daily Show guest on Thursday, June 13.
