Late Night Ratings: Monday, July 15, 2024

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night daily ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen. 

CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert kicked off the new week by earning first place in late-night, both in total viewers and among Adults 18-49.

The Late Show averaged 1,968,000 total viewers with 202,000 P18-49 at 11:35 p.m. on Monday, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s up +4% in total viewers but -6% in P18-49 viewers compared with the Monday before (July 8). Rep. Adam Kinzinger was Stephen Colbert’s guest on Monday, July 15. Bikini Kill performed.

With Anthony Anderson serving as guest host, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged 1,223,000 total viewers with 145,000 P18-49 this past Monday, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s +23% and +51%, respectively, from the previous Monday (when Kathryn Hahn served as guest host). Gina Rodriguez, and Meagan Good made guest appearances on the July 15 Kimmel. Pepe Aguilar performed on the program.

NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged 1,154,000 total viewers with 200,000 P18-49 at 11:35 p.m., per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -9% in total viewers, but a +64% improvement in P18-49 demo viewers from the Monday before. Natalie Portman and Julio Torres were Fallon’s July 15 guests. Pete Yorn performed on the program.

Following The Tonight Show, NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers averaged 755,000 total viewers with 133,000 P18-49 at 12:35 a.m., per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -9% and +29%, respectively, from the Monday before. Anna Faris, and Colman Domingo were Meyers’ guests this past Monday. José Medeles performed on the program.

Following The Late Show, CBS’ After Midnight averaged 534,000 total viewers with 87,000 P18-49 at 12:35 a.m., per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s -10% and -14%, respectively, from the Monday before. The July 15 After Midnight was a 90’s Nickelodeon reunion of sorts — Danny Tamberelli, Lori Beth Denberg, and Kel Mitchell all appeared on the episode.

Following Kimmel, ABC News’ Nightline averaged 724,000 total viewers with 94,000 P18-49 at 12:35 a.m., per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data. That’s +29% and +74%, respectively, from the Monday prior.

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show did not air on Monday.
