Late Night Ratings: Friday, October 11, 2024

Note: LateNighter’s late night daily ratings reports are drawn from Nielsen live-plus-same-day data and do not take include delayed and/or streaming views. They are generally posted on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.

ABC, NBC and CBS all aired repeats of their respective late-night talk offerings this past Friday, October 11. ABC averaged the most total viewers at 11:35 p.m. and 12:35 a.m., while NBC averaged the most P18-49 demo viewers in the aforementioned hours.

ABC re-aired Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s Oct. 2, 2024 episode this past Friday, and the 11:35 p.m. telecast averaged 1,427,000 total viewers with 142,000 P18-49. That’s down -30% in total viewers and -42% among P18-49 from the previous night’s new episode (Thurs, Oct. 10). Friday’s telecast also gained +4% in total viewers but shed -8% among P18-49 week over week from the previous Friday. The Oct. 2 Jimmy Kimmel Live! featured guests Jennifer Aniston, Diego Luna, Gael García Bernal, with musical guests Ben Platt, and Brandy Clark.

NBC re-aired The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘s Sept. 17, 2024 episode Friday at 11:35 p.m., and the telecast averaged 1,032,000 total viewers with 201,000 P18-49. That’s down -12% in total viewers but up +24% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), -2% and +17%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (a repeat). The Sept. 17 Tonight Show featured guests Colin Farrell, Lily Collins, and Mike Shinoda, with musical guest Linkin Park. 

CBS re-aired The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s Sept. 12, 2024 episode on Friday at 11:35 p.m., and the telecast averaged 1,052,000 total viewers with 157,000 P18-49. That’s down -16% in total viewers, but up +2% among P18-49 from the night before (also a repeat), down -14% and -20%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (another repeat). The Sept. 12 Late Show featured guests Jeff Bridges, and Evie McGee Colbert.

Following the Fallon repeat, NBC re-aired Late Night with Seth Meyers‘ Sept. 25, 2024 episode (featuring guests Andy Samberg, and Shailene Woodley). The 12:35 a.m. telecast went on to average 657,000 total viewers with 124,000 P18-49. That’s down -25% in total viewers and -7% among P18-49 from the night before (a new episode), -5% and -6%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (a repeat).

Following its Kimmel repeat, ABC aired a new episode of Nightline. The Oct. 11 episode averaged 787,000 total viewers with only 75,000 P18-49. The episode shed -20% in total viewers and -40% among P18-49 from the night before, +5% and -17%, respectively, from the previous Friday’s episode.

Following the Colbert repeat, CBS re-aired After Midnight‘s Sept. 10, 2024 episode (featuring guests Bob the Drag Queen, Caitlin Reilly, and Rickey Thompson ), and the 12:35 a.m. telecast averaged 431,000 total viewers with 94,000 P18-49. That’s -28% in total viewers and and -15% among P18-49 from the night before (also a repeat), -12% and +1%, respectively, from the week-ago telecast (also a repeat).
