Kimmel Hands Show Over to His Wife In Response to New Trump Attack

Jimmy Kimmel is clearly thrilled that Donald Trump can’t seem to stop bringing him up at his campaign rallies—especially when it gives him a chance to relive his knockout punch from this year’s Oscars.

This time around, he even got an assist from his own wife (and Jimmy Kimmel Live! executive producer/head writer) Molly McNearney.

As Kimmel explained at the top of his show Tuesday night, Trump was slamming late-night hosts at a rally Monday when he again referenced Kimmel, calling him “a dope” for ignoring everyone’s advice (including McNearney’s) when he responded in real time to an insulting social media post from Trump at this year’s Oscars.

What Trump, of course, didn’t mention was Kimmel’s ad-libbed response that night, which brought the house down.

Needless to say, Kimmel took the opportunity last night to remind Trump of his “past your jail time” joke, and even offered to buy him one of the many Etsy products that his joke inspired so that the former president can remember it in the future.

But the pièce de résistance came when Kimmel handed the show over to McNearney, saying “Since you think my wife gives such great advice, here she is—with some advice.”

McNearney went on to deliver a minute-long message to camera, describing the very serious restrictions millions of American women are living under after the Supreme Court Justices Trump appointed overturned Roe v. Wade.

“Women are dying, and good doctors are quitting, because they can’t get or give the reproductive care women need,” McNearney said at the conclusion of her remarks. “So, my advice for you is to shut up and go away. Go to Mar-a-Lago, spend all day, every day cheating at golf and masturbating to Newsmax and let a competent woman take over.”
