Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work this Monday, kicking off a week of brand-new episodes
Jon Stewart kicks things off tonight with guest Jake Sullivan, the former National Security Advisor to President Biden who now co-hosts the weekly current events podcast The Long Game, and also is a Harvard Kennedy School professor.
From Tuesday through Thursday, Josh Johnson will host the show. This will mark Johnson’s second week behind the desk in 2026, following his previous stint the week of January 20.
On Tuesday night, Johnson welcomes Sterling K. Brown, the star and an executive producer of the post-apocalyptic Hulu drama Paradise, which dropped its penultimate Season 2 episode this morning.
Wednesday brings The Kid Mero, formerly of the podcast Desus vs. Mero and the Viceland/Showtime series Desus & Mero, who is out promoting his Hot 97 radio show Mornings with Mero.
Johnson will wrap up the week Thursday with actress Eiza González, whose sci-fi action comedy Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice premieres on Hulu this Friday.
2026 is shaping up to be another big year for Johnson. This past weekend he recorded his first HBO special, which is set to premiere later this year. The popular comic/veteran Daily Show writer joined the Comedy Central program’s host rotation midway through its 2025 run and immediately connected with viewers—particularly those in the advertiser-coveted 18–49 demo. Johnson went on to host 15 times last year.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central and is available to stream the next day on Paramount+.
