Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Desk Tonight; Desi Lydic Hosts Tues-Thurs

Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work this Monday, with the first in a week of brand new episodes.

Jon Stewart will kick things off tonight with his guest former U.S. Ambassador and former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Emmanuel is no stranger to late night, having logged appearances with Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert, Jay Leno, and Conan O’Brien, among others. His last visit to The Daily Show was with Trevor Noah in 2020.

Daily Show senior correspondent Desi Lydic will then take over as host tomorrow through Thursday. Her last week behind The Daily Show anchor desk came at the end of February.

Mallory McMorrow, the majority whip for the Michigan State Senate and candidate for U.S. Senate, will be Lydic’s guest on Tuesday. She’ll be promoting her new book, Hate Won’t Win.

On Wednesday Lydic will host actor Olivia Munn. Munn has been making the rounds promoting her new Apple TV+ series Your Friends and Neighbors.

The Daily Show will then close out the week on Thursday with Lydic’s guest Bowen Yang. Yang, now in his sixth year on the cast of Saturday Night Live, stars the new remake of The Weding Banquet, which opens in theaters next week.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+
