John Mulaney fans are getting an early holiday gift, courtesy of Jimmy Fallon.
The Tonight Show host is scheduled to welcome Mulaney back to Studio 6B next Tuesday, Dec. 10th—the day before Mulaney’s new play, All In: Comedy About Love, opens on Broadway.
As it happens, Fallon himself is set to make his Broadway debut in the same Simon Rich-penned play, albeit after Mulaney finishes his five-week run in January.
Beyond that that, the two SNL alums should have plenty to talk about. Mulaney’s last visit with Fallon was in February 2020, nearly five years ago. In case you’re just catching up, a lot has happened in the young comic’s life since then—including rehab, divorce, a second marriage to actor Olivia Munn, and fatherhood (x2).
Although obvously it’s been a while, Mulaney and Fallon go way back, with the young comic logging seven appearances over the show’s first five years, earning him the distinction of not just one, but two “Best of” collections on the show’s YouTube channel.
Mulaney’s Tonight Show return will also be his first visit since starting up his own late night talk show on Netflix, the critically acclaimed Everybody’s in L.A., which is set to go back into production in late February with the first of 12 new episodes.

It would be great if John Mullaney had a late night show of his own! He reminds me how important it is for humor to drive through hard times. Nobody does it as good as JM. His marriage to Olivia Munn. It totally is a match made from heaven! I wish you continued love and laughter with your beautiful family of four!
