You’ve heard of Everybody’s in LA, now get ready for “Everybody’s on Broadway.”
John Mulaney is headed back to Broadway this winter to star in a new comedic show, All In: Comedy About Love. The show, which will feature a rotating cast of 10 actors, is set to include several Saturday Night Live stars.
Mulaney, who got his start as a writer on SNL from 2008 to 2013, will lead the first five weeks of shows. He’ll be joined by fellow SNLers Fred Armisen—who was a cast member from 2002 to 2013—and Chloe Fineman, who joined as a featured player in 2019 and was promoted to repertory status in 2021.
Other cast members are set to include Girls5Eva star Renée Elise Goldsberry, plus Richard Kind, who served as the announcer on Mulaney’s Everybody’s in LA. Goldsberry will appear in the December 11-30 shows, while Fineman is slated to appear from January 2 through January 12, 2025. Additional cast members will be announced soon.
Simon Rich, who worked alongside Mulaney as a writer on SNL from 2008 to 2011, penned the script. Adapted from Rich’s humorous short stories that previously appeared in The New Yorker, All In explores dating, heartbreak, marriage, and more.
“Sometimes they will play pirates, sometimes they will play dogs, and there’s one where we make them talk in British accents,” the official production description reads. “But even though the show’s kind of all over the place, it’s meant to tell one simple story: that the most important part of life is who we share it with.”
The play is produced by Seaview and SNL boss Lorne Michaels with New Yorker Studios. Alex Timbers, who directed Mulaney’s comedy specials Kid Gorgeous and Baby J, will serve as director. This marks the first time Mulaney has been on Broadway since Oh, Hello in 2016, which Timbers also directed.
All In: Comedy About Love kicks off on Wednesday, December 11 at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre. Tickets will be available for purchase starting September 26th.
